David A. Kuder

December 4, 1899 — October 22, 1987

David A. Kuder, 87, of Meadville, died Thursday, October 22, 1987, at his home.

He was born in Greenville on December 4, 1899, a son of Lester and Anna Hall Kuder.  He married Joyce Transue on June 25, 1919.  She survives.

He retired in 1965 as a machinist in the railroad industry after 35 years of service, first with Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad and then with Erie Lackawanna Railroad.  He previously worked five years in the maintenance department of Allegheny College.  He was a member of Meadville First Baptist Church and its men's Bible Class, and he was a life member of Meadville Elks Lodge 219.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Erma I. Whisenant of Huntsville, AL; four sons, David L and Donald G., both of Long Beach CA, Charles H. of Reading and Robert J. of Sugar Land, TX; a brother, Luther J. Kuder of Greenville; fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
