David A. Marvin, 61, of Guys Mills, died Wednesday, August 9, 1995 at Meadville Medical Center.
He was born in Oil City, November 16, 1933, a son of Elmer and Marjorie DeRemer Marvin. He married Janet Griffith, August 29, 1954. She survives.
He was currently a Randolph Township supervisor. He previously was employed at Conneaut Lake Park and was a supervisor at Avtex where he had worked for more than 30 years.
He was a 1951 graduate of Townville High School.
He was a member of United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills and a former church moderator. He was a member of the Meadville Area Federal Credit Union Board of Directors, Cochranton Masonic Lodge 790, Kismet Grotto, Eagles and Meadville Elks Lodge 219.
He was a former member of Penncrest School Board; past president of the Local No. 8 Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union; and past officer of Avtex Management Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Julie) Foulk of Guys Mills and Donna Marvin of Las Vegas, NE; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bobby (Patricia) Sites of Dover, DE and Mrs. George (Janet) Frutiger of Townville; and two brothers, Robert Marvin and Bruce Marvin, both of Townville.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
