David Allen Benson

October 20, 1898 — September 26, 1984

David Allen Benson, 85, of Meadville, died Wednesday, September 26, 1984, at City Hospital after a period of failing health.

He was born at Hillside, Westmoreland County, October 20, 1898, a son of John and Anna Johnson Benson. He married Elizabeth Trueblood.

He was employed by Talon for 32 years, a member of Stone United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge 219, Crawford County Masonic Lodge 234 F&AM, Erie Consistory of Zem Zem Shrine, and Northwestern, PA Shrine Association.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Eric Jon Benson of California; three sisters, Martha Trew of Zelienople, Ella Stuck of Nashville, TN and Emma O'Hara of Brandenton, FL; and two grandchildren.

Services were held at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
