David C. Dunn

Dr. David C. Dunn, 84, of Meadville, a resident of United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital for the past four years, died at the hospital Friday, April 15, 1983, after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Meadville, May 15, 1898, a son of Dr. William C. and Emma Brown Dunn.  He married Katherine Boland August 19, 1926.

A 1920 graduate of Allegheny College and a member of the college's Delta Tau Delta fraternity, he later graduated from University of Pittsburgh Dental School in 1925.  There he was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity.

In addition, he was active in Crawford County Dental Society and served a term as its president.  He participated in a number of community fund drives, served on the staff of Spencer Hospital and also was a one-term member of Meadville School Board.  Dr. Dunn also was active in Meadville Round Table and Kiwanis.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Patricia) Cutshall of Hamondsport, NY and Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Horberg of Bellevue, WA; two sons, John C. of Canfield, OH and William C. of Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii; two sisters, Mrs. William (Helen) Lamb of Dallas and Mrs. Victor (Betty) Barnaba of Oceanside, CA; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
