David C. Frazier, 46, formerly of State Hwy. #98, Saegertown and a resident of the Crawford County Care Center since February 2001, died there Saturday, January 19, 2002, following a long struggle with a brain tumor.
He was born in Meadville, July 16, 1955 a son of James B. and Shirley R. (Daniels) Frazier, Jr. He had been married to Denise Vietmeier.
He was a 1973 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. For 10 years he worked as a welder for Sunbeam Corp., from 1984-1992 he was owner and operator of a 7-Eleven Store in Hunting Ridge, PA; he then worked as an insulator for Atlas Insulation of Carnegie; from 1992-1993 he worked as a mold machine operator for Reliant Molding in Cranesville, PA and from 1993-1996 he was a finisher and painter for Andover Industries here in Meadville. He was a former member of West Mead Vol. Fire Dept. #1 and he enjoyed hunting. He was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, Crossingville.
Survivors, include a daughter, Melissa Lynn Frazier of Bridgeville, PA; his mother, Shirley Frazier of Saegertown; a brother, Paul E. Frazier and his wife Sandy of Cambridge Springs; two aunts, an uncle and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James B. Frazier, Jr., and his grandparents, Arthur and Mae Daniels and James and Margrette Frazier, Sr.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Fr. Thad Kondzielski, Pastor of St. Philip Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Venango Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
