David Charles Mullen, 66, of Jamesville, NC passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at Martin General Hospital, Williamston, NC.
David was born December 9, 1953 in Meadville a son of Charles F. and Donna J. Andrews Mullen. He was a 1971 graduate of Meadville High School where he excelled in football. He graduated from California State University and was an Industrial Arts teacher for 30 plus years in Maryland.
He was an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 227 at Stone United Methodist Church and then traveled to Japan for the Boy Scout World Jamboree. He grew up and was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and he continued his faith journey at Methodist churches where he lived in Maryland and North Carolina. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed the outdoors and participated in several Outdoor Rendezvous. He loved hunting and fishing and traveled to Alaska with his parents five times.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Mullen; a brother, Dale Mullen; a sister, Dawn Muntean all of Meadville and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Everyone loved uncle David!
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Mullen; his older brother, Daniel R. Mullen; his grandparents and his uncle, Lloyd H. (Buck) Mullen, Jr.
The services will be Tuesday, October 6th at 1:30 p.m. at Stone United Methodist Church, 956 S. Main Street, Meadville beginning with a Masonic Service and then continuing with the Memorial Service with Rev. Sarah Roncolato, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
