David D. Paterson

David D. Paterson, 84, of Meadville died Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Marquette Hospice House.

He was born June 14, 1934 in Taylor, PA a son of William G. and Laura Owens Paterson.  He married Theresa Ann Jasieniecki June 2, 1956 and she preceded him in death October 3, 2018.

He served in the US Army from 1957-1959.  Following his discharge, he worked first for D & H Railroad, then the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad and retired from Conrail in 1981 after 22 years of service.

He enjoyed hobby trains, making carousel horses, garage sales, flea markets, gardening and woodworking and was well known as a Jack of all trades who enjoyed helping his family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Denise L. Nageotte (Jerry) of Meadville; three step-grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsey and Michael Nageotte; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, William and Ralph Paterson; a sister, Jean Prutzman; a niece and a nephew.

Calling hours will be Monday, November 19th from 2-4 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Brumagin officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
