David Earl Harrison

David Earl Harrison, 76, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

He was born May 1, 1943 in Meadville, a son of Benjamin and Beatrice Kays Harrison.  He married Elaine D. Osborn on June 22, 1968 and they were happily married for 51 years, enjoying a 50th wedding anniversary on an Alaskan cruise.

David was an active member of Norrisville United Methodist Church.  He proudly served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard.  David worked for American General Life Insurance Company, T. Bruce Campbell Machine Shop, and most recently worked part-time for Vallonia Industries and the ARC of Crawford County.  David truly enjoyed working with the clients at both Vallonia and the ARC.  He also enjoyed getting involved in Special Olympics and was a former Seton School girls assistant basketball coach.  He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, looking forward to a Browns winning season and especially loved following his grandchildren’s sporting events.

He will be sadly missed by his family.  Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Elaine, include a son, Todd Harrison and his wife Tina of New Philadelphia, OH; a daughter, Krista Longoria and her husband Marco of Conneaut Lake; four grandchildren, Morgan and Kara Harrison and McKenna and Matthew Longoria; a step-sister, Patty Harrison and her partner Carla Lux and a step-brother, Jerry Harrison, all of Great Falls, MT; two brothers-in-law, Donald Osborn and his wife Rhonda and Rich Osborn and his wife Carol, all of Conneaut Lake; and several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Barbara Harrison and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leo and Pauline Osborn.

Respecting the wishes of David, there will be no calling hours.  A private family memorial service will be held at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE with the Rev. Russell Hines, officiating.
