David Frederick Miller

David Frederick Miller, 81, of Conneaut Lake, died Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Meadville Medical Center.

He was born October 17, 1940 in Sellersville, PA, son of Frederick Brey and Helen Kathryn Walker Miller.  He is survived by his wife, Carol Lynne Kretschmer, who he married on September 10, 1971.

He was a graduate of Souderton High School and veteran of the US Navy serving from 1958-1961, aboard the USS Bordelon (DDR 881).  He worked in industrial flow meter sales for most of his career while living in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Illinois.  After moving to the Conneautville area, he owned and operated Bluefalls Woodcrafters and Conneautville Station Beverage.

David was a member of the American Legion, BSA Motorcycle Club and lifetime member of the NRA.  He drove disabled veterans as a volunteer for the Veterans Administration.  He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, motorcycling and playing cards.

In addition to his wife Carol of 50 years, survivors include three daughters, Rev. Lynn Miller (Michael Blair) of Chantilly, VA, Deborah Wagner (Andy) of Evans City, PA, and Diane Miller (Ken Kelley) of Slippery Rock, PA; a son, Rev. John Miller (Amy) of Dubois, PA; three grandchildren, Kathryn Pobre (Nate) of Arlington, VA, David Miller of Smithfield, VA, and Mary Miller of Narberth, PA; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Kretschmer (Pauline) of Philadelphia and Dr. Frank Kretschmer II (Shirley) of Clayton, NC; sister-in-law, Sandra Miller of East Point, FL; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Miller.

The memorial service will be Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, 358 Euclid Avenue, Saegertown, PA 16433 with Rev. Mark Fischer, officiating.
