Gary Lee Fitzsimmons, 22, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Meadville, died at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, as a result of injuries suffered from a fire at work, Wednesday, at Robert K. Murray Auto Body, Pittsburgh.
He was born in Meadville, January 13, 1957, a son of Howard H. and Evangeline Hunter Fitzsimmons.
He was employed at Robert K. Murray Auto Body for the past six months and previously worked in Meadville at B & B Auto Body.
Fitzsimmons was a member of First Baptist Church and graduated from the Meadville public schools and the welding program at Crawford County Vocational-Technical School.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancee, Darlene Robison of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Wayne (Carol) Gracey of Chugiak, AK; three brothers, David, Dale and Duane, all of Meadville; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Datus Hunter of Meadville.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
