David Lee Hankey, 89, of Wesbury United Methodist Community, formerly of Meadville, a former Talon, Inc. employee, died Wednesday, December 25, 1991, at Wesbury following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Vandergrift, November 30, 1902, a son of the Rev. James and Mary Duffey Hankey. He married Bessie M. Cunningham, May 22, 1926. She preceded him in death January 26, 1985.
He retired in 1963 from Talon, Inc. as a chain machine operator after 37 years of service. He was a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church. He was a Mason.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Jean) Beardsley of Citrus Heights, CA; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Gray and Belle Hankey and three brothers, James Hankey, the Rev. Bruce Hankey and Carl Hankey.
Services were held with the Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
