David S. Fordyce, of Meadville, died at his home Thursday morning after a long illness.
Mr. Fordyce, who lived in Alyth, Scotland, came to the US in 1883. Among the positions he held during his life in Meadville was one with the Railway Express Company for a period of 15 years.
The deceased was a member of F. and A.M. Lodge 408, and was a 32-degree Mason at the Coudersport Consistory. He belonged, also, to the brotherhood of railway employees.
Surviving are his widow, Margaret A.; four daughters, Mrs. Leon Bausman, Mrs. Carl Bean, Margaret Fordyce and Helen Fordyce; a brother, Charles Fordyce of Birmingham,
England.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
