David W. Ross

David W. Ross, 48, of Meadville died unexpectedly Thursday, March 7, 2019 from injuries sustained in an accident.

He was born January 8, 1971 in Meadville the son of John Ross and Patricia Raybuck Leonheart.  He and Angela Tawney have been together for 20 years.

He was a 1989 graduate of Meadville High School and worked as a truck driver for Farmers Propane during the winter months and Suit-Kote during spring, summer and fall months.  He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and collected football cards.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed drag racing, attending several NHRA events over the years.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a member of the Italian Civic Club where he would enjoy the Friday night buffets, VFW Post #2006 and the H & F Club.  He also was an avid music fan and would work as a DJ at several area events and parties.  His greatest love, however, was spending time with his family.  He loved his children so much!

Survivors in addition to his wife, Angela, include: a son, D. Dalton Ross and a daughter, Bella Ross both of Meadville; his mother and step-father, Patricia and George Leonheart of Linesville; his father, John Ross of Erie; two sisters, Sherry Manual (Mark) of Meadville and Debbie Smith of Georgia; a sister-in-law, Kim Tawney of Findley, OH; a brother-in-law, Joel Tawney (Marci) of Kernersville, NC; a special aunt, Joanne Bunce of Meadville and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The visitation will be Friday, March 15th from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene, 851 Washington Street, Meadville.  The memorial service will follow at 12p.m. at the church with Rev. Rodney Johnson, officiating.
