Debra E. Christy

Debra E. Christy, 63 of Jackson Center, passed away on January 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 21, 1958 in Franklin to Robert and Wilda (Stallsmith) Boyd.

She married her beloved husband, Garth Duane Christy on August 13, 1977, he survives at home. She is also survived by her parents, three children; Keith Duane (Kim) Christy, Douglas Armstrong (Amanda) Christy, and Sherri Lynn (Chris) Baer, five grandchildren; Arabella and Ian Baer, Paige Haslet, and Mira and Jack Christy, siblings; Scott (Donna) Boyd, Lynn (Rich) Eckley, and brother-in-law Steven Christy

She is also survived by many dear friends; Jan Anderson whom she enjoyed biking with for countless hours on many trails for over 20 years, Ulrike Gossen who came into her life and heart in 2000, she lived in their home for 10 months from Paderborn, Germany, she and her husband, Hans, have two children, Jonathan and Miriam. Deb and Duane enjoyed four trips to Germany with Ulrike serving as tour guide.

She is survived by many other dear friends, too many to mention, they know who they are.

She was preceded in death by her in-laws; Garth and Dorothy Christy, and sister-in-law Donna (Joe) Stewart

Deb was truly blessed with a wonderful family and her dearest friend and husband, Duane, life with Duane was an adventure. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed many special mother-daughter moments with Sherri.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Stoneboro & Sandy Lake

Visitation will take place from 4 pm – 7 pm on Friday, February 4, at the Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church, 3096 Sandy Lake-Grove City Rd, Stoneboro, PA 16153. A Funeral service will take place at the church on Saturday, February 5, at 11 am, with the Pastor Adam J. Simcik, officiating.

The funeral service will be livestreamed to the funeral home's Facebook page.

Private interment will take place at Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.

Memorials can be made in Deb's name to SLW Church, PO Box 275, Sandy Lake, PA 16145.  Donations from this will be sent to La Gonave Hospital in Haiti.
