Debra Ann (Jones) Shattuck

Debra "Debbie" Ann (Jones) Shattuck, 52, of Gibsonia, PA and formerly of Guys Mills, died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at UPMC - Shadyside in Pittsburgh.

She was born March 30, 1958 in Meadville a daughter of James O. Jones and Dorothy Kaputa Jones Anthony.

She worked for T & J Hopper Building Supply in Gibsonia and previously worked for Federal Express and at Hunters Inn.

She was a 1976 graduate of Randolph/Maplewood High School.  Debbie was a "people" person.  Her passion in life was caring for family, friends and anyone in need.  She traveled to Mississippi, Florida and Louisiana with her best friend and companion, Bruce Kennedy to help with the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.  She was known for her huge smile and her ability to always make people laugh.  She loved shopping with her daughter and her animals, especially her dogs, were very important to her.

Survivors, include: her companion, Bruce Kennedy of Gibsonia; her daughter, Amanda A. (Shattuck) Allen and her husband Brandon of Atlantic; her mother, Dorothy K. (Jones )Anthony of Guys Mills; her ex-husband, Chester Shattuck of Franklin; three sisters, Linda (Jones) Peterson and her husband Larry of Greenville, Jane (Jones) Butryn and her friend Kevin Lippert of Cochranton and Jody (Anthony) Fetterhoff of Guys Mills; a nephew, Brandon Peterson of Greenville and two nieces, Breanna Peterson of Greenville and Kayla Anthony of Guys Mills.

She was preceded in death by her father, James O. Jones and her step-father, Clair E. Anthony.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church, State Rt. 27, Frenchtown with Fr. Dennis Veltri, Celebrant.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
