Denise A. (Cadman) Mccoy

Denise A. McCoy, 57, of Conneaut Lake died at home surrounded by her family Saturday, February 6, 2021 following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born September 11, 1963 in Greenville a daughter of George Albert Cadman and Mary Ann Passanti Cadman Bruce.

She was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and the St. Vincent Hospital Nursing School in Erie.  She has worked as a registered nurse at Meadville Medical Center for 37 years in oncology, the intensive care unit and most recently in the cardiac catheterization lab since it opened in 2003.  She enjoyed reading (especially Stephen King), golfing, bowling, playing cards, Candy Crush and Sudoku puzzles.  She also immensely enjoyed the Christmas holiday and would count down the days until Christmas morning.

She is survived by two daughters, Megan Ann McCoy of Conneaut Lake and Amy Rae Sherman (Andrew) of Greenville; a granddaughter, Hailey Lynn McCoy; her husband, Brian J. McCoy of Linesville; five siblings, Donna Hyde of Conneaut Lake, Donald Cadman (Janet) of Conneaut Lake, Danny Cadman of West Palm Beach, FL, Darla Adams of Russell, PA and Deborah Janocha (Stephen) of Conneaut Lake and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours will be Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 12-2 and 5-7 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.  The memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. John Wilson, close friend, officiating.  CDC guidelines for masking and social distancing will be followed.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to her granddaughter, Hailey McCoy, c/o Marquette Savings Bank, 210 Water Street, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.
