Dennis D. Wentz

Dennis D. (Denny) Wentz, 81, of Guys Mills, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Wesbury United Methodist Community. He was born September 15, 1940 in Salem, OH, a son of Norman and Bertha Dennis Wentz. He married Virginia M. Worley September 29, 1962 and she preceded him in death February 26, 2022. Denny was a 1958 graduate of Townville High School. He worked at Avtex for 26 years and subsequently at Crawford Tool & Die for 15 years, both as a machine operator and euchre player. Denny was a member of Lyona Bible Church and a life-member of the NRA. He enjoyed bow hunting, making knives, and attending Maplewood High School sporting events. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. Survivors include a daughter, Mandy Prusia (Dale) of Guys Mills; a granddaughter, Abbey Prusia of Parma, OH; a brother, Thomas Wentz (Kitty) of Guys Mills; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Wentz and his wife Valerie. Calling hours will be Friday, April 22nd from 4-7 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at Lyona Bible Church, 28825 Lyona Rd., Guys Mills with the Rev. Michael Fraser, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Lyona Cemetery.
