Dennis “Denny” W. Watts, 73 of Stoneboro, passed away on July 23, 2023 at Ashtabula County Medical Center. Denny was born in Grove City, PA on July 28, 1949 to the late Delbert W. “Tim” and Bertha “Barb” (Koptus) Watts. He was a 1968 graduate of Lakeview High School. He worked in his early years at Westinghouse, then at JOY Manufacturing, J.C. Moore Industries, and then owned and operated video stores in Union City, Harrisville, and Clintonville. Most recently he was a driver for NuCraft Cabinets.
He was a longtime member of Stoneboro Presbyterian Church. In his early years he was a member of Stoneboro Volunteer Fire Company and had served as Fire Chief. He was also a member of Tuesday Night Golf League. He loved the outdoors and was a PA State Hunter Safety Instructor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the RMEF-Elk Foundation. He was also a member of the Franklin Moose Lodge since 1975 and a life member of Jackson Field and Stream Club.
He married his beloved wife: Linda S. (McCracken) Watts on April 1, 1988. She survives at home.
Also surviving is a daughter: Darlene Sager of Erie, Son-in-law: Mike Sharp of Springboro, sister: Maxine Amos of Bridgeville, and nephew Tim and niece Tracy.
In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his daughter: Sheila Sharp.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where visitation will be from 12 pm – 2 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2023. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Kenneth Hughes, officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery
