Diane L. Baker, 70, of Polk, PA, passed away surrounded by her family on August 12, 2024 at UPMC Northwest. Diane was born to Alvin and Delores Beach on April 11, 1954. Diane graduated from Franklin High School before working at Polk Center for over 33 years.
Diane married her loving husband, Denton Baker, on April 8, 1989, celebrating 35 years of marriage earlier this year.
Diane filled most of her time reading or playing sudoku puzzles. She often could be found watching her soap operas, with a book in her hand or scribbling away one of her puzzles. When she could, Diane and Denton would hit the casino which they loved doing together. Throughout their marriage they had gone on several cruises, they enjoyed soaking in the hot sun and warm weather, their most recent cruise was in May.
Diane is survived by her husband, Denton, as well as her son, Mike King and her step-son, Jason Baker. She leaves behind three grandchildren, Shane (Lindsey) King, Jackson Baker and Jacob Baker and one great-granddaughter, Scarlett, to cherish her memory. Diane will be dearly missed by her siblings, Melissa, Dave and Tom Beach.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, PA 16153. Following Diane's wishes, there will be no services.
