Dominic Petruso

Dominic Petruso, 67, of 11816 Pennsylvania Ave., Meadville, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Meadville Medical Center following a cancer illness.

He was born in Meadville May 12, 1942, a son of the late Santos and Mary Macaluso Petruso.  He married Elizabeth (Libby) Southworth.

Dominic at the age of 12 learned the shoe repair trade from Dom Roda.  He subsequently was a truck driver for many years.  He enjoyed working with leather, making various types of leather cases, enjoyed talking on the CB radio, and especially loved his cat Sam.

Survivors, in addition to Libby, include a sister, Marian Petruso Tracy of Meadville and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There are no services planned.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where memorials may be made.
