Don D. Murray

Don D. Murray, 74, of Meadville died at San Rosario Nursing Home, Cambridge Springs, Saturday, March 9, 1974, after and extended illness.

Born at Rutland, OH, October 7, 1899, he was a son of Jacob and Edith Jones Murray.  He married Violet Hunter, October 11, 1924.  He operated Murray's Red and White Grocery Store on Park Ave for 16 years before retiring in 1962.  For 20 years before operating the grocery, he operated Murray's Esso Service Station on Route 77 for 20 years.  He was a member of Meadville Masonic Lodge 408.

Survivors include his widow; two sisters, Mrs. George (Evelyn) Louthan of Sarasota, FL and Mrs. Ida Bachner of Middleport, OH; three brothers, Frank Murray of Sandwich, IL, Clarence Murray of Middleport and Vaughn Murray of Akron, OH.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
