Don Walter Scott

August 17, 1885 — January 26, 1954

Don Walter Scott, of Meadville, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home Tuesday noon.

Most of his life was spent in this area.  He was keenly interested in the fine arts, especially music and painting, and had created several paintings.  He was one of the founders of Meadville Fine Arts Assn.

He was a graduate of Meadville Commercial College and was employed for a time at the old Commonwealth Bank here.  He later was employed for 12 years by the Crawford County Trust Co.

For 30 years before his retirement he was sales representative for the Dairy Assn. Co. of Lyndonville, VT in a territory including 15 states.

At one time he was active in Masonic groups and was affiliated with Lodge 408, F and AM; Solomon Royal Arch Chapter 191 and NW Commandery 25.  He was a member of Stone Methodist Church.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Genevieve C. Scott and several cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
