Donald A. "Don" Hicks

Donald A. “Don” Hicks, 71 of Sandy Lake, passed away on July 26, 2020. Don was born in Grove City on November 10, 1948 to the late Arthur and Bessie Mae (Caldwell) Hicks. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School and went onto attend the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. Don was a mechanic for many years, owning and operating Don Hicks Auto Service in New Lebanon. Don loved working and enjoyed running his own business. He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. He loved attending auctions and traveling. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. Don is survived by his sons Tim Hicks and wife Lisa of Sandy Lake, Mike Hicks of Sandy Lake, granddaughters Katelyn Connors and husband Robert of Sharpsville, Savannah Hicks and companion Joe Egger of Stoneboro, great-granddaughters Annabelle Egger, Madelyn Connors, and Scarlet Connors, brother David Hicks and wife Barb of Sandy Lake, Lois Greenlee of Sandy Lake, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his siblings, Alvin Hicks, Vera Ewing, and Mildred Courson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of Sandy Lake.
