Donald L. "Don" Grantham

Donald L. “Don” Grantham, 77 of Georgetown Road, Sandy Lake, passed away at his home on Friday, August 30, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Don was born in Meadville on August 18, 1942 to the late Richard W. and Francis E. (Klippel) Grantham. As a boy Don enjoyed dairy farming and raising crops. He was a 1960 graduate of Lakeview High School. On May 25, 1979 he married the former Vivian D. Artman, she survives at home. Don previously moved to Jamestown, PA and operated the former Dairy Isle. In the early 70’s he was president of the Jamestown Fire Dept. and Jamestown Firemans Club. In 1979 Don and his wife returned to the love of farming in Sandy Lake where he farmed several acres. In 1986 Don and Vivian built Grantham’s Landing Restaurant in New Lebanon. Don was also a member of Lake Lodge #434 in Sandy Lake. In addition to his wife, Don is survived by daughters Tracy Daniel and husband Dan of Powder Springs, GA, Aimee Rodrigues and husband Roy of Irving, TX, son Brian D. Grantham and wife Tracee of Sandy Lake, and daughter Stephanie D. Gall and husband Rick of Sandy Lake, seven grandchildren, Noah and Gracie Daniel, Benjamin and Cruz Rodriquez, Gavin, Malina, and Addison Grantham, four step grandchildren, Molly, Sarah, and Lily Keller and Olivia Gall, and two sisters, Joyce Hart of Philadelphia and Susan Gaul of Erie. Don was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of STONEBORO, 99 Franklin Street, where family and friends are welcome from 6-9 pm on Tuesday, September 3 and 1-2 pm on Wednesday, September 4, a funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Chuck Mowry officiating.
