Donald W. “Don” Amon, 66 of Lake Twp, Sandy Lake, passed away on January 5, 2021 at his home. Don was born in Grove City on July 13, 1954 to the late James and Bettie Jean (Kopta) Amon. He worked for many years as a supervisor for Iron City Sash and Door, then at Anderson. Don married his beloved wife, Judith D. Brown-Amon on January 16, 1983. The two were to be celebrating their 38th Anniversary this month. Don enjoyed hunting and camping, especially at Benezette where he and his wife enjoyed seeing the elk. He loved the outdoors, gardening, and animals, especially his yorkie, Ollie. He was an excellent driver and enjoyed long rides with his wife, and transporting his Amish friends. He enjoyed playing his guitar and had written over 85 Christian songs. He was lead member of his Christian contemporary rock group, Seed Time & Harvest. Don is survived by his wife, Judi at home, children; Douglas Amon of Stoneboro, Abbey Amon and companion Chad of Stoneboro, Amanda Lee Amon and companion Cody of Sandy Lake, Darlene Axtell of Sandy Lake, and Cindy Bish of Sandy Lake, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, brothers; Roman Amon and wife Julie Tharp-Amon, Terry Amon and wife Angie, and Todd Amon and wife Diane. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his infant son Adam Amon and son Buddy Axtell. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake.
