Donald W. Parker

Donald W. Parker, Sr., 60, of Conneaut Lake, died Sunday, July 3, 1988, at Meadville Medical Center.

Mr. Parker was born in Rochester, September 25, 1927, a son of Charles A. Parker and Theresa Ann Snider.  He married Alma M. Strock, April 2, 1955.  She survives.

He was employed as the security supervisor of Conneaut Bay Resort.  He was formerly employed by Burns International Security.  Mr. Parker was a World War II Navy veteran of the South Pacific theater.  He was a member of the Saegertown American Legion Post, Saegertown Recreation Assn., Meadville VFW and Disabled American Veterans Assn.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Donald W. Parker of Meadville; three daughters, Mrs. William (Linda) Geiger, III of Saegertown, Mrs. David (Patricia) Kress of Hinsdale, MA and Mrs. Scott (Theresa) Dimerling of Meadville; his father, Charles A. Parker of Industry; two sisters, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Randolph of Industry and Mrs. Rizza (Marlene) Alpar of San Francisco, CA; three brothers, Robert Parker of East Rochester, Charles Parker of East Liverpool and Gerald Parker of Industry; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one infant brother.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
