Donna G. Steele

Donna G. Steele, 83, of Meadville, died Friday, April 11, 2008 at Golden Living Center, Meadville.

She was born in Meadville March 24, 1925, a daughter of the late Harold and Magdalene Smith Morris.  She married Chester W. Steele June 24, 1950 and he preceded her in death January 20, 1979.

She attended Titusville High School, was a homemaker and had previously worked at the American Viscose, Aero Supply, Corry, and the Cyclops, Titusville.  She was a longtime member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Meadville and especially enjoyed her time spent at the Meadville Senior Center.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Stephanie Smith of Fredericksburg, VA and Kelly Whitney of Raleigh, NC; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ronald Morris Clark of Davis, IL and Granville J. Morris of Conneaut Lake.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Lee Ullrich and a brother, Duane Morris.

Calling hours will be Monday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where a funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Houseworth of the Meadville Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
