Donna Isabel Smith

Donna Isabell Smith, 94, a resident Quality Living Center since 1956 died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

She was born in Townville July 7, 1912, a daughter of Don and Susan Ladds Smith.

Isabell attended the Higby Hill School House in Townville, participated in Special Olympics, was a Volunteer with RSVP from 1985 to 1991, and had been a member of the National Grange for 25 years.  She loved gardening, needlework and crafts.

Nieces and nephews survive, including:  Catherine (Holly) Unice and her husband Dr. Kenneth and Karlin Marsh and her husband Gordon both of Meadville, Donnalee Rhineberger of Conneautville, Dr. David Smith and his wife Ann of Brockport, NY, Seona Brown and her husband Murice of Gainesville, GA, Pat Rudy and her husband Rev. Ralph of Kilgore, TX, Harrington (Hank) Smith and his wife Joan of Fairview, Barbara Veale and her husband Rev. Don of Carlsbad, CA, Don Smith and his wife Nita of Bellefonte,  Marilyn Bowers and her husband Carl of Hancock, ME,  Joyce Mackie and her husband Ed of Manchester, CT, Edward (Ned) Smith and his wife Peggy of Deland, FL and John (Jack) Smith and his wife Juanita of Phoenix, AZ; a beloved cousin, Jane Kirk of Saegertown and many great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Huber L. Smith, W. Ladds Smith, Henry T. Smith, and Harrington  A. Smith, 1 sister, Virginia Happe, and 3 nephews, Michael Smith, Jonathan Smith, and Theodore (Laddie) Smith.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 30, 2007, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc. 581 Chestnut St., Meadville

The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ralph Rudy, nephew, officiating.

Burial will be in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
