Donna L. Custer

Donna L. Custer, 84 of Worth Twp, Stoneboro, passed away on January 10, 2023 at UPMC Mercy. Donna was born in New Vernon Twp on Aug 15, 1938 to the late Raymond and Jessie (Nosker) Patterson. She was a graduate of Lakeview High School. In her early years she worked at Stoneboro Red & White Store, George Junior as a cook, and then County Market for 23 years, retiring in 2005.

Donna was a member of Emmanuel Christian Church and worked in the Janitorial Ministry there. She served as a Girl Scout Leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, making many prayer shawls and afghans. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donna married her husband; Marvin Thomas “Tom” Custer, Jr. on June 18, 1955, he preceded her in death on April 2, 2011.

Donna is survived by her children; Laurie (Michael) Hopper of Jackson Center, Marvin “Cork” (Fiancé Cindy Jones) Custer of Jackson Center, Lewis (Terri) Custer of Cibolo, TX, David (Dana) Custer of Stoneboro, and Mark (Marci) Custer of Sandy Lake, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sister; Karen (Gary) King of Clarks Mills, brothers; Clifford “Wayne” Patterson of Seattle, WA, Earl “Short” (Karen) Patterson of Fredonia, James (Jean) Patterson of Grove City, and Dale (Marti) Patterson of New Jersey.

In addition to her husband and parents, Donna was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Victoria Baker and Deanna Custer.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose And Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where visitation will be 2 – 4 pm & 6 – 8 pm on Friday, January 13 & on Saturday, January 14 from 10 – 11 am at Emmanuel Christian Church, 4495 Greenville Sandy Lake Rd, Stoneboro, PA 16153. A funeral service will follow visitation at 11 am with Pastor Tim Clark, Church Pastor, officiating.

Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery.
