Donna L. Green

Donna L. (Stoy) Green, 67, of Charlotte, NC, and formerly of Conneaut Lake, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews, NC.

Donna was born in Johnstown, PA on August 28, 1945 to the late James “Don” Stoy and Margaret (Doerr) Stoy of Ebensburg, PA. She graduated from Bishop Carroll High School, Ebensburg in 1963.

Donna spent a large part of her career as Personnel Director at Conneaut Lake Park along with time spent at Mama Bears, Sunshine House and Morning Star Storage. Her favorite role of all was hosting “Grammy Camp” for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and attending craft shows, was actively involved in the VFW and served many years with Conneaut Lake Area Business Association.

Donna is survived by her five children, Doug Davis and wife Jill of Conneaut Lake, PA; Robert Hanson and his wife Heidi of Williston, ND; Tracey Davis of Conneaut Lake, PA; Jennifer Davis Stephens of Charlotte, NC; and Jami Green of Manassas, VA; four grandchildren, Josh Gregory and his wife Macy of Williston, ND, Taylor Davis of Conneaut Lake, PA, and Nick and Andrew Stephens of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Linda (Stoy) Grove and her husband Dean of Vinco, PA and two nieces, Tammy Calpin of Vinco, PA and Carrie Kessler and her husband Ben of Beaumont, TX.

Friends will be received Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd, Conneaut Lake from 4-7 pm. Friends are welcome to join the family immediately following at Summit Township Volunteer Fire Dept., 10870 E. Plum St, Harmonsburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 505 Poplar Street, Suite 310, Meadville, PA 16335 or to your favorite charity.
