Dorotha Z. Landers

Dorotha Z. Landers, 92, formerly of Leslie Rd. Meadville and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community died there, Wednesday, December 15, 2004.

She was born in Union City, February 25, 1912 a daughter of Howard G. and Ona C. Brown Weed.  She married Clinton M. Landers July 30, 1932 and he preceded her in death October 19, 2002.

She was an active member of Brown Hill United Methodist Church and its Ladies Aid & Missionary Society.

Her family was the most important thing in her life.  She enjoyed being a mom and a grandmother.  She was very creative – from the fine cooking she put on the table, to her arranging of flowers and to the various crafts she made.

Survivors, include one son, Alvin H. Landers and his wife Betty of Waterford; one daughter, Loa Glenn and her husband Dave of Conneaut Lake; five grandchildren, three step grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and six step great great grandchildren.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Loomis Cemetery, Bloomfield Twp.

The family suggests memorials be made to Brown Hill United Methodist Church, 22742 Wilkie Road, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403 or Hospice of Crawford County, 448 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
