Dorothy A. “Peg” Dick, 98, of Sandy Lake, peacefully passed away on September 19, 2024 at The Grove – New Wilmington.
Peg was born in Raymilton on July 12, 1926 to the late Albert and Goldie (Beach) Shingledecker. She went to work as an RSA at Polk Center. Peg was happiest when she was spending time with her family. She will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Peg married her beloved husband, Frank Dick, on November 19, 1946, he preceded her in death on August 10, 2000.
Surviving are her children: William Dick and June Ishman and her husband, Karl; a granddaughter, Jamie Sehgal and her husband, Rajeev; Great-Granddaughters, Shailey and Simryn Sehgal; and two brothers, Albert Shingledecker, Jr., and his wife, Dorothy and Richard Shingledecker, and his wife, Judy.
Peg was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Dick; her daughter, Marilyn Dick; four sisters, Esther Delong, Marion Wheeler, Margaret Wheeler and Pricilla McCool and one Brother, Cecil Shingledecker.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro. There will be no services at this time.
Interment will take place at Center Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Dorothy’s memory to Lakeview Meals on Wheels, PO Box 704, Stoneboro, PA 16153.
