Miss Dorothy E. Urick, 86, of Meadville, died Friday, June 14, 1985, at Spencer Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born at Meadville December 17, 1898, a daughter of John and Della Barnes Urick.
Miss Urick was employed as a legal secretary for attorney Leland Culbertson of Meadville and then subsequently employed by attorney Stuart Leland of Meadville. She was also employed as organist and choir director of Stone United Methodist Church for many years and served in the same capacity for several other churches. She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.
Miss Urick was the founding director for two local women's choral groups, the Choristers and Troubadettes. She was a member of Tuesday Morning Music Club, Mu Phi Epsilon Honorary Music Sorority, past president of Business and Professional Women's Club, past officer of PA Federation of BPW and a member of the American Guild of Organists.
Miss Urick is survived by several nieces and nephews including Mrs. Florence Milner of Meadville, John R. Houser of Meadville and Robert B. Milner of Winchester, VA. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
