Dorothy H. Pyle

Dorothy H. Pyle, 86, Jamestown House, Meadville, a former Meadville teacher, died at her residence Saturday, February 23, 1991, following a lengthy illness.

She was born at Stoneboro, February 1, 1905, a daughter of Thomas and Susan Yeats Harrison.

She retired in 1970 as a first grade teacher at First District School, having spent 42 years in the teaching profession.  She was a member of the Stoneboro Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a dauhger, Mrs. Kyle (Ann) McIntosh of Lakewood, OH; two sisters, Ethel Harrison of Stoneboro and Margie Holland of Meadville; two grandchildren, three nieces and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Adamson and three brothers, James, Howard and Harry Harrison.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
