Dorothy R. Hall

Dorothy R. Hall, 84, Russell Avenue, Meadville died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Vernon Twp., Crawford Co., July 4, 1923 a daughter of Charles A. and Susan J. Lee Emerick.  She married Edward G. Hall February 8, 1947 and he preceded her in death February 23, 1998.

She retired in the early 1980’s from Crawford Central School District as a cafeteria worker having worked in the Meadville Junior High and Kerrtown schools.

She was a graduate of Meadville High School.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Easter Star.  She enjoyed card club, bowling, square dancing and needlework.

Survivors, include: a son, Thomas J. Hall and his wife Becky of Meadville; a daughter, Linda Sue Webb of Conneautville and four grandchildren, Geoffrey Hall, Jonathan Webb, Susan Jukes and Michael Webb.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey Emerick, Charles Alton Emerick and a sister, Margaret Emerick.

Calling hours will be Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335, with an Easter Star Service at 6:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville with the Rev. Travis Webster, Assoc. Pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
