Dorothy V. G. Walker

Mrs. Dorothy V. G. Walker, 67, of Meadville, died Sunday, November 30, 1969, at City Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks.  She had been in failing health for several months.

She was born in Conemaugh December 21, 1901, a daughter of John E. and Allie Roselie Hawk VanGorder.  She married William S. Walker April 19, 1939.  He died in October 1967.

Mrs. Walker was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; Golden Crown Chapter 44, Order of the Eastern Star; Trinity Shrine 33, White Shrine of Jerusalem and Meadville Grange.  She was a charter member of Allegheny Court 115, Order of the Amaranth, and Meadville Lioness Club.  Mrs. Walker was past president of the Ladies Aux. to the Northwestern Commandery 25, Knights Templar.

Surviving are one sister-in-law, Mrs. Robert (Madge) Airgood of Erie; two brothers-in-law, Francis Walker of Tampa, FL and Henry Tunsion of North East and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, New Castle.
