Dorothy Arden Williams, 63, former resident of Carmi and currently of Scottsdale, AZ, died Friday, October 13, 1995 at home, following a short illness.
She was born in Meadville, PA, October 24, 1931, a daughter of the late Dr. Kenneth A. and Claralouise Jenkins Hines. She married J. Robert Williams. He preceded her in death in July 1991.
Mrs. Williams graduated from Meadville High School in 1949, attended Allegheny College and graduated from the University of Miami, Miami, FL in 1953, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Later, she earned a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from the University of Miami. She was a RN and worked in hospitals and nursing homes in Colorado, Florida, Illinois and New Mexico. An avid traveler, Mrs. Williams made several trips to the Far East, Europe, Great Britain and Africa.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra Aizcorbe of Phoenix, AZ and Lisa Annicharico of Encinitas, CA; two brothers, Kenneth Hines, Jr. of Oyster Harbors, MA and Edward Hines of Normal, IL; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy LeBaron.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
