Dortha Eileen Pardee

Dortha Eileen Pardee, 81, of Phoenix, AZ died Thursday, December 16, 1999 at Thunderbird Samaritan Medical Center, Phoenix following a short illness.

She was born in Meadville, June 13, 1918, a daughter of the late Truman and Hallie Taylor Cain.  She married Victor William Pardee in 1937 and her preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Meadville Commercial College and she worked for many years as a secretary at Talon, Inc.  She continued her secretarial work when she moved to Phoenix in 1963 with Arizona Public Services.  She is a former member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

Over the years, she enjoyed bowling, golfing, crafts, her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include five daughters, Phyllis F. Murray (Robert) of Bergenfield, NJ, Joyce L. Bradley (William) of Meadville, Vickie R. Kurt of Meadville, Patricia A. Magruder of Brandon, FL and Judith A. Reiter (John) of Glendale, AZ; a sister, Leola Onspaugh (Ronald) of Painesville, OH; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Cain.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
