Dr. Arthur H. Thayer, 60, of Cincinnati, OH, died Thursday, July 6, 1984, at his home after a sudden illness.
He was born at Meadville, November 29, 1923, a son of Arthur D. and Jean Hazen Thayer.
Dr. Thayer was in general practice of obstetrics for 22 years and practiced emergency medicine for 10 years. He was the medical director of the Blood Plasma Council of Cincinnati from 1976 until his death. Memberships included the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Medical Assn. He was a veteran of World War II Army Air Corps in India and was a 1942 graduate of Meadville Area High School, a 1948 graduate of Allegheny College and a 1952 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He was also a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Shirley Pallen of Pittsburgh.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Richard W. Thayer.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville.
