Dr. David J. Kalher, 37, of Thurmond, MD, died suddenly this morning at a hospital in Baltimore, MD.
He was the son of Dr. and Mrs. E. H. Kalher, of Meadville, and was a graduate of Meadville High School.
Dr. Kalher also graduated from Albion College in Michigan and earned his master of arts and doctor of philosophy degrees from Michigan State College.
He was active in Boy Scouting while he resided here, and had always kept his interest in the work, being scoutmaster of a troop at Thurmond at the time of his death. He was employed at a government research center at Frederick, MD.
Dr. Kahler is survived by his widow; three children, Kirk, Kathy and Anne; his parents and a brother, William H. of Cleveland, OH.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
