Dr. Jeffrey Scott Rozell

Dr. Jeffery Scott Rozell, 29, of 1321 Eagles Nest Lane, Monroeville, PA died Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at his residence of natural causes.

Born in Meadville, May 19, 1972, he was the son of Bob and Joyce Bacher Rozell.

He was a 1990 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School where he was a member of the Golf team and Drama Club.  He was a 1994 graduate of Westminster College with a degree in Biology and a minor in Theater.  At Westminster he was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity.  In 1998 he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine as a Doctor of Dental Medicine.  At Pitt he was ASDA Secretary, Blue and Gold Ambassador, American Society of Dentistry for Children and Community Outreach Program for Children.  He did his residency at the University of Alabama Hospital, University of Alabama School of Dentistry, where he received a Certificate of Residency.  During his time there he was Chief Resident, House Staff Council and Clinical Instructor.

His professional affiliations/certifications include: American Dental Association, PA Dental Association, Dental Society of Western PA, Academy of General Dentistry, Northeast Regional Board, Licensure in the Commonwealth of PA, Alabama Dental Board, Licensure in the State of Alabama, CPR Certification, ACLS Certification and Anesthesia Restricted Permit.

He was employed at Nova Dental Associates in Pittsburgh.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Meadville and he enjoyed family, friends, golf, deck hockey and he loved being a dentist.

Survivors, include his parents, Bob and Joyce Rozell of Meadville; a brother, Christopher Rozell and his wife Erin of Harrisburg; his maternal grandparents, Ray and Ethel Bacher of Meadville; his paternal grandparents, Bob and Josephine Rozell of Middletown, NY and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville with the Rev. David R. Hosick, Pastor, officiating.

Entombment will be at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
