Dr. Russell Benfield Mosier, retired Erie County dentist and native of Mosiertown, died Sunday, March 30, 1958, at his home in Cleveland.
He was a son of Joseph and Flora Herrick Mosier. He was married to the former Ethel Jenkins, who survives.
He was a gradute of Edinboro State Teachers College and graduated in the 1927 Class at the Univeristy of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry. He practiced in Erie and Corry and was active in civic affairs in both communities.
He was past president of both the Ninth District of PA Dental Society. He was a member of Luther Memorial Church, Erie.
Following his retirement, he lived in Meadville for about a year before moving to Cleveland last September. He had been in ill health about two years.
Surviving, in addition to his widow, are a son, Russell, Jr. of Pittsburgh; a brother, Delbert of Mosiertown and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Saegertown Cemetery.
