E.A. Wilhelm, 84, of Centerville, died Wednesday, June 27, 1984, at Spencer Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born at Garden City, MO, April 23, 1900, a son of Abraham and Emma Yoder Wilhelm.
Mr. Wilhelm married Beulah M. Stutzman, December 25, 1921, and she preceded him in death October 10, 1979. He had worked as a farmer for many years in Athens Township and was employed for more than 20 years as a seed salesman for Hoffman Seed Co. He had also worked as a school bus driver and a carpenter.
He was a member of Lyona Community Church, and was a church deacon, Sunday School superintedent and Sunday school teacher at the church. He was a founding board member of the Atlantic Breeder's Assn. and was a member of Meadville Christian Businessmen's Assn.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Wilhelm of Meadville; a son, Marlowe Wilhelm of Centerville; a sister, Mrs. Lela Miller of Centerville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Scheffel and an infant daughter.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville, PA.
