E. Jean (Hipple) Brooks

E. Jean Brooks, 90, of Hartstown, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at her residence following a period of declining health.
She was born September 6, 1925 in Leavittsburg, Ohio, a daughter of Edwin Glenn and Emma Freyer Hipple. She married Delmar R. Brooks July 26, 1946 and he preceded her in death May 16, 2012.
Jean was a graduate of the Warren Township School in Leavittsburg. She was employed as a bookkeeper at various businesses in Ohio and subsequently for the Christie Oil Company, Hartstown.
She was a member of the Hartstown Presbyterian Church and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and baking.
Survivors include a brother, Waldo Hipple and his wife Carol of Warren, Ohio; her caregiver and friend, Martha (Dolly) Good of Hartstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are private with entombment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
