E. Clair Neff

December 15, 1914 — March 23, 1991

E. Clair Neff, 76, of Meadville, died Saturday, March 23, 1991, at his home following an illness of one month.

He was born at Dayton, Indiana County, December 15, 1914, a son of Lawrentius and Nettie Condron Neff.  He married Genevieve I. Collins August 9, 1940.  She survives.

He was employed at American Viscose as a spinner for 24 years and retired from Meadville Housing Corp. where he worked as a painter for seven years.  He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.  He was a graduate of Shippenville High School; a charter member of the Meadville Full Gospel Businessmen; a member of the Senior Citizens Bowling League; and a member of the AARP.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Howard Neff of Muscatine, IA and Kenton Neff of Snellville, GA; a daughter, Kay Bruce of Hartsville, SC; a brother, Howard Neff, Sr. of Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Erma Weaver and a half-brother, Charles Neff.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
