E. Clyde Myers

April 17, 1925 — June 23, 1992

E. Clyde Myers, 67, of Meadville, a farmer and retired custodian, died Tuesday, June 23, 1992, at his residence following a short illness.

He was born in Bucks County, April 17, 1925, a son of Samuel and Rosa Myers Myers.  He married Ada Keeler, June 3, 1944.  She survives.

He was a lifelong farmer and retired in 1988 as custodian for Crawford Central School District after 25 years of service.  He was a member of First Mennonite Church, Meadville, former Sunday School teacher and church elder.  He had been a foster parent with Children and Youth Services for 26 years and helped raise more than 50 children during that time period.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Kathleen Stoltzfus of Albupuerque, NM, Lorraine Hastings of Brunswick, GA and Marilyn Taylor of Crownsville, MD; three sons, Walton Myers of Anchorage, AK, Donald Myers of Kalona, IA and Rodney Myers of Annadale, VA; five sisters, Sara Myers and Anna Mae Kramnes, both of Quakertown, Florence Leatherman of Ottsville, Millard Fillman of Wismer and Ethel Edmonds of Crownsville; two brothers, Samuel Myers of Hatfield and Clayton Myers of Pipersville and eleven grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Towamencin Mennonite Church Cemetery, New Kulpsville, Montgomery County.
