E. Jane Busch Leberman, 74, of 20677 Baird Ave. Meadville, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at Wesbury United Methodist Community, after a period of declining health.
She was born in Oil City May 26, 1928, a daughter of William & Geraldine Felmlee Davis. She was first married to Charles L. Busch, and subsequently married Thomas E. Leberman Oct. 4, 1984, and he survives.
She was a 1946 graduate of Oil City High School. She had been a school crossing guard in Meadville at the corner of North & Clark Streets from 1958 to 1968. She and her husband had owned and operated the former Steere Dairy of Meadville, where she was the Office Manager for 12 years, and then worked at the former PennBank now National City, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the West Mead #2 Vol. Fire Dept. Auxiliary and the Meadville Elks Lodge #219 Auxiliary and she was of the Presbyterian Faith.
Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Marsha J. Manning and her husband Charles of Meadville; a son, Daniel C. Busch of Meadville; two step-daughters, Deborah Saeger of Circleville, OH, and Linda Loughner and her husband Robert of Kingsport, TN; a step-son, Michael Leberman of Erie; a granddaughter, Marlie Jane Manning; five step-grandchildren, two step great grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia McKenzie and her husband Hugh of Oil City.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral and committal service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev, Drew Elling, associate pastor, First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Unit of Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, PA 16335.
