Earl C. Pierce

Earl C. Pierce, 71, of Guys Mills, died at his home early Tuesday morning, November 13, 1973, after an illness of several months.

He was born at Oakwood, OH, May 30, 1902, a son of Caskey D. and Emma C. Anderson Pierce.  He married Margaret Swavey on March 30, 1929.  Mr. Pierce was employed by the C. C. DeVore Lumber Co. in the mill for 25 years before retiring in 1966.  He was a member of United Church of Guys Mills and Randolph Grange.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, Norman of Meadville and Noel of Guys Mills; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
