Earl W. Yarnell, 88, formerly of Saegertown and a resident of Brooksville, FL died there Friday, July 28, 2017.

He was born in Utica, PA December 7, 1928 a son of Charles A. and Lena Parker Yarnell.  He married Mildred Rough and she survives.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving as an MP in the US Army from January 1952 – December 1953.  He then was a police officer with the City of Meadville Police Department for over 10 years before working at PA Tool and Gage.  After his retirement, Earl and Mildred made Florida their home since 1994.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Brooksville (FL) Wesleyan Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Mildred of 67 years, include: two sons, David E. Yarnell and his wife Susan of Fairview and Robert S. Yarnell and his wife Cheryl of Conneaut Lake; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Greenlee and Hazel Baker.

Visitation will be Friday, August 4th from 1-2 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, INC., 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.  The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.

Interment will military honors provided by Huidekoper VFW Post 2006 will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
