Edgar A. Brown, Vernon Township dairy farmer who marked his 90th birthday anniversary last March 19, died at his Watson Run home Tuesday morning following a lingering illness.
Born and raised on the farm home where he lived all his life, Mr. Brown until recent years had carried a big load of the dairy farm's responsibilities. His son, Andrew, and wife, residing with him, lately had active management of the property.
His friends and neighbors in the Watson Run community held a party at his home last March to celebrate his birthday.
An official of the Watson Run Evangelical and Reformed Church, Mr. Brown had served as member of the school board and was a member of Vernon Grange.
Surviving, in addition to his son, Andrew, is a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd L. Thomas of Arcadia, CA; and six grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Watson Run Cemetery.
